BSNL offers free talk time value of Rs. 200/- to new Pre-paid Cellular Service subscribers

As part of the initiative to provide better value to our esteemed customers, BSNL has decided to increase the free talk time value to Rs.200/- (existing Rs.50/) on SIM initialization to all new pre-paid subscribers during the scheme period. The promotional tariff will be effective from 24-07-2003 to 31-7-2003 (both days inclusive) for Gujarat and Haryana Telecom Circles only.

The validity of the free talk value will be 30 days (instead of 7 days existing) from the date of SIM initialization. The grace period will be 15 days as existing.

BSNL offers free talk time worth Rs. 100/- per month for first 6 months to new Post-paid Cellular subscribers

As part of the initiative to provide better value to our esteemed customers, it has been decided to allow free talk time worth Rs.100/- per month for the first 6 months to all new Post paid plan subscribers (Plan-225, Plan-325, Plan-525 & RTP). The free talk time is to be allowed as reduction from the call charges only.

This promotional tariff will be applicable from 24-7-2003 to 15-8-2003 (both days inclusive) in A&N, Bihar, Maharashtra, MP, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, HP, UP(E), Jharkhand, TN, West Bengal and Karnataka telecom circles.

The scheme is now extended to A.P., Gujrat, Kerala, Orissa, Punjab, UP(West), Haryana and Chennai Telecom Circles from 1.8.2003 to 15.8.2003(both days inclusive)

Early bird discount for MPLS based VPN Services
(No. 106-27/2002-Comml. dated 15.5.2003)

Early bird discount is available for those customer who registers within one moth from the date of launch of MPLS Based VPN Service i.e.24.5.2003 . Discount will be as detailed below:

Particulars	Discount Offered
Less than 10 ports and at least covering 2 cities	5% of net billed amount
10 or more than 10 ports covering 2 or more cities	10% of net billed amount

This discount will be available subject to the following conditions:-

i) Those customers who registered their names and paid all dues charges before commercial launching of the VPN Service.

ii) The discount is available only one time i.e. only for first year and thereafter normal rental will be leviable.

BSNL announces increase of monthly free calls and reduction of Basic to Cellular call rates

BSNL announced the following changes in the BSNL General (alternative) Package in tariff card which was applicable with effect from 1.5.2003.

Note:-
*     The benefit of additional free calls is to be given retrospectively w.e.f. 1.5.2003
**.   The change of pulse from 30 second to 60 seconds as above is applicable only for
      local   calls i.e. those SDCAs where point of Interconnect (POI) of the concerned
      cellular network is located. The charging pulse for fixed to cellular intra circle calls from
      other SDCAs (i.e. where there is no POI) shall continue to be 30 seconds.

In addition to above, the composite pulse for CCB PCOs shall be 90 seconds w.e.f. 17.5.2003 for all local calls i.e. basic to basic, basic to cellular & basic to WLL(M) for an interim period till further orders.

BSNL extends "95" facility for intra-circle calls beyond 200 Kms with effect from 1st May 2003.

With a view to implement revised Tariff w.e.f. 1^st May, 2003 in BSNL network,; BSNL has decided to extend `95` facility beyond 200Kms. for Intra circle calls. Thus the subscriber can dial within the Telecom circle without dialing `0`. The dialing scheme will be applicable for Intra circle calls i.e.,

1) Calls originating from BSNL network and terminating within geographical areas of Telecom. Circle as defined by DOT for licensing of Basic services.

2) The scheme will be applicable for calls from basic to basic and basic to WLL (M) and vice-versa.

3) The scheme will not be applicable for CCB PCO and other local Pay phone including provided to Handicapped persons.
