• Handling all policy and execution matters concerning rural projects (e.g. VPTs, RCPs, MARRs)

o Planning and monitoring of works through the support of USO Fund
o Preparation of periodic progress statements relating to installation & replacement of VPTs, RCPs, MARRs etc.
o Handling all issues related to GSS and GRASSO

• Planning and executing rural development initiatives for enhancement of BSNL’s network in rural and far-flung areas (including working of Rural Development Task Force – RTDF)

o Coordinating with circle heads for implementing USO plans
o Ensuring upgradation and modernization of equipment in rural exchanges
o Handling issues related to damaged equipment in rural areas

• Preparation of periodic progress reports pertaining to NCR and NER

• Provision of Urban Amenities in Rural Areas (PURA) scheme
