Beware of fake websites


Some websites are impersonating as BSNL web sites and luring innocent visitors in fraudulent schemes and offers. Their intention is to extract money in name of the BSNL.


It is intimated that BSNL does not ask any deposit to be made in advance before approval from BSNL for any BSNL Tower installation on individual private property, Bharat fibre / Bharat Air Fibre dealership.


Website may offer you some business opportunities like tower leasing and seek money as security, registration or bank charges. These websites may contain similar words like BSNL tower office/BSNL 5G tower / BSNL tower site / BSNL tower etc. These websites claimed to have authority to install FTTH on individual customer’s premises and also give distributorship on behalf of BSNL and are asking money to be deposited in advance in the name of BSNL. Do not fall prey to their lucrative and tempting schemes. Their aim is just to make money.


Some of them may lure in the name of giving appointment/recruitment in BSNL. Beware of these fake websites. It is pertinent to mention here that BSNL conducts fresh recruitments from open market as per BSNL's standard norms by issuing notification/intimation on its official website www.bsnl.co.in only .For recruitment in BSNL, please visit BSNL official website https://externalexam.bsnl.co.in/.


The suspected Modus Operandi for fraud is –


  • Setup Website.
  • Used BSNL contents like logo and product details, falsely claimed that website is developed by ITPC of BSNL.
  • Call is made to prospective customers.
  • Then the amount has been asked to get transferred to account number with any bank with account name “Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL)”, however, these are individual accounts set up with such nicknames.

It is pertinent to mention that BSNL is not associated with any such websites and the public at large is hereby cautioned against dealing with such fake websites and BSNL assumes no responsibility for any funds transfer or cash deposits to them or any other resultant loss to any person or otherwise.
